How to Make a hyperlinked image ad
If you’re marketing online, you’ve probably notice those people who have clickable images they use as advertisements. It’s a little discussed but powerful way to get more attention from some normally text-only advertising like Craigslist.
But how is it done?
Surprisingly, it’s amazingly easy.
You know, they look like this:

Click on that Ad, and it takes you to a quick video site about my Javita Business.
Here’s how you do it for yourself.
You need:
- a site to send people to
- your image hosted somewhere online. Whether it’s your own site or one of the free ones like Photobucket.
So, here’s the code (between the ” “)
“<a href=”http://myjavita.webuda.com/”><img src=”http://javitacoffeemlm.com/ImageAd2.jpg” /></a>”
Let’s break it down:
Assuming you have a site you’re advertising, put your url in place of the first one above. In other words replace “http://myjavita.webuda.com/” with your site (including the quotes) like this “http://yoursite.com/”.
Next, you need the complete path to your image. Once you’ve got it, replace the “http://javitacoffeemlm.com/imagead2.jpg” with your exact url tothe image. Note this is CASE SENSITIVE, so if at first you don’t succeed, check you haven’t capitalized (or not) the image name.
Then, when placing your ad, copy and paste the whole thing.
Note, if you’re doing online advertising not ALL classified sites let you paste html. try it, preview, and you’ll know immediately if it works!
Now, get busy advertising!
